Greetings from the farm 10/1,
Another very long week on the farm. Great weather, lots of harvesting, just not enough hours in the day. The demand for Pumpkins and other Fall decor was much busier than expected this week, so we are pushing back CSA renewals to kick off next week. With that drop in demand, we expect to load up on some of our last crops of the season!
Real quick, despite the busy week we were able to get a few extra crops into the mix. Most of the same crops as last week, with the addition of Ambercup and Carnival Squash! Also, keep your eyes out for a new Fall Squash called Stripetti Squash! It is a cross between a Spaghetti Squash and a Delicata.
Sweet Corn, Cantaloupe and Watermelon are in short supply this week. We do have another crop of Sweet Corn that we may get into next week if the weather holds up, but melons are about to the end! Hoping to see Sugar Snap Peas next week and a few other cold weather goodies!
