What farm work is
currently being done?
Greetings from the farm,
We hope this message finds you healthy and weathering the storm. In the midst of all that’s going on in the world we thought it best to give you an update from the farm. The good news is we are all healthy and working vigorously towards producing a crop. We are starting to fill our Greenhouses with flowers, herbs, and vegetable plants for both our customers and production in our fields. Currently we have a number of carry over plants growing in the Greenhouses, as well as a few late season greens like Lettuce Mix, Arugula and Kale. In the next couple of weeks we will be planting our Onion and Leek Crop for the 2024 season.
Corban is busy preparing high tunnel greenhouses for this late Winter/early Spring Planting. We currently have 9 houses that we will be using for growing early crops such as Tomatoes, Grape Tomatoes, Pickling Cucumbers, Lettuce, Arugula, Kale, Swiss Chard, Cucumbers, Sweet Peppers, Green Beans and early Flowers.
We are continuing our experiments with personal size cantaloupe and watermelons. We have a relationship with a variety of seed companies and they are providing us with some new non GMO sweet corn and watermelon seeds, meaning you get to sample the best and newest things available. Thankfully we have our seeds on hand so some of the shipping delays the country is seeing should not be a problem for us. Our plans are to make this year the best ever with an outstanding lineup of fresh, delicious produce to fill you boxes with the best mix ever.
2024 Best Summer Ever?
On the farm we deal with some kind of adversity each season and always find a way to overcome. Keep up with us on Facebook and be well!
Thank you all so very much!!! We will see you in a few months!!
